This online learning module is designed with an expert faculty to aid you in optimising opioid dependence treatment for individual patients, with an understanding of which formulations may be most suitable, why monitoring is recommended, and how to set up each patient for success.

Learning objectives
On completion of this module, participants will be able to:
- Summarise the current landscape of opioid dependence and recognise where progress needs to be made to improve care, particularly for highly stigmatised groups
- Compare the pharmacokinetic and pharmacologic properties of the available opioid agonist therapies to determine their suitability for different patient profiles
- Explain the benefit of antagonist and adjunct therapies for detoxification regimes
- Formulate a treatment plan that combines pharmacological agents and psychosocial support and apply it to an individual patient
