Biography
Professor Robert Ali is a Public Health and Addiction Medicine Physician and Director of the Drug and Alcohol Services South Australia (DASSA) WHO Collaborating Centre, based in the School of Medical Sciences at the University of Adelaide. Professor Ali is a member of the WHO Expert Advisory Panel on Drug Dependence and Alcohol Problems and is also a member of the Cochrane Drug and Alcohol Editorial Board. Professor Ali was the President of the Chapter of Addiction Medicine in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and Chair of the Board of Continuing Professional Development for the Faculty of Public Health Medicine in the Royal Australasian College of Physicians during 1996–2004.
