Biography

John Marsden is Professor of Addiction Psychology and Senior Tutor at the School of Psychiatry, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London.

John is a clinical researcher and practitioner psychologist certified by the British Psychological Society and British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies. At the National Addiction Centre, John’s focus is on experimental therapeutics, psychiatric epidemiology and health service research.

He is Senior Academic Advisor for the Alcohol, Drug, Tobacco and Justice Division, Health Improvement, Public Health England and he is a clinical academic consultant for the US National Institute of Drug Abuse/National Institutes of Health Center for Clinical Trials Network. He is also Editor-in-Chief for the journal ADDICTION.
