Biography
Maurice Dematteis, MD, PhD, is a neurologist and Professor of Addictions and Pharmacology. A member of the World Association on Dual Disorders, administrator of the French Alcohol Society and the French Society of Pharmacology and Therapeutics, and involved for years in the management of opioid use disorder, he is the founder and Head of the Department of Addictions at the Grenoble Alpes University Hospital. His department is specialized in the outpatient care of severe and complex patients using dimensional approaches. For several years, he has integrated families and relatives into patient support through specific training, as well as the patient expert into patient support and student training.
